London

I dont really have much to say about the dreadful cowardly act carried out in London.

I have no idea how to begin to imagine the physical and mental damage those involved have been subjected to.

I sit and watch the news or listen to the radio and i hear more horrific details and yet in all the darkness the true spirit and kindness that human beings are capable of showing each other brightens the shadows.

Stories of strangers helping one another to deal with the difficulties they faced...

My thoughts go out to all those who have lost a friend or relation and to those injured i wish a healthy recovery and a happy return to everyday life.

OLYMPICS

You know i just can not decide if i am pleased more that the Games are coming to the UK and that i will have a chance to see some of it in the flesh so to speak or that the French are really put out that their "sure thing" came to no thing...

If i am honest i have to say that i was surprised that London won... there has been so much negativity surrounding the whole application and not much in the media in the build up to the voting i was amazed when the vote came Londons way...

I am sure in the long run it will be a very positive thing... but the hu-ha that is sure to follow in the debate around whether money could be spent better elsewhere for the public good is bound to bring a shroud to the party...

Over all i say Woo Hoo in ya face Mr Chirac...
